Identity
·
Explore what cultural identity means to
you.
For me cultural identity it means that each person belongs to a circle or social group where different ways of thinking and acting are obtained according to the culture in that town and how they have been learned over the years through our parents. They educate us according to our religion and traditions, that is why each country has different cultures and traditions
·
Identify what elements contribute to your
own cultural identity.
The elements that contribute to my own cultural identity are my catolic
religión, my traditions and my culture. I think that each things that we do
every day is our culture, for example i usually eat tacos, play soccer, drink
tequila, etc. Thats some examples that in other country is totally different. Thats why we learn it when we were kids.
·
Explore fundamental differences between
cultures, based on social groups.
There are so many diffreneces between cultures, for
example a greeting, in europe they are used to kiss twice on the cheek, in
united states a simple hug and here in Mexico with one kiss on the cheek. The
way to dress, the lenguage, the education, the religion, politic systems,
values and norms, etc. The cultures are things that make us as a group of
persons differents from the others.
I think that the culture is a system of values and norms that a group shares and that, when taken together, constitute a scheme for life. By values it is understood, the abstract ideas about what a group considers good, correct and desirable.

groups, what are some ways that he or she might determine his or her primary
culture? What are some instances when a person might feel the need

culture or cultural heritage might be difficult for a person? Explain. (I
can think of an example: being adopted.
Yes that is very difficult if the person has been
alone all his life and has suffered a lot but also depends on the age of the
person adopted and the people who adopted him, as they treat him and how they
form it as a person
·

identity as opposed to allowing themselves to be labeled by others as belonging
to one group or another? Explain.

mentality of the person and what he wants to his life
